Insurance information

Using private medical insurance for physiotherapy: what to check first.

Private medical insurance can have different rules for physiotherapy, consultations, scans and treatment. Before booking, check what your own policy covers and whether it requires a GP or consultant referral, an authorisation code or a specific provider route.

Bring the details that matter

If you plan to claim, keep your insurer's contact details, policy number and any authorisation information available. It remains your responsibility to understand your cover and obtain any approval required by your policy.

Specialist investigations and treatment

If specialist assessment, imaging or treatment is discussed, insured investigation or treatment requires insurer approval under your policy. It is not appropriate to assume that cover will apply or that a self-funded pathway can simply be combined with insurance.

One trusted clinical team, one joined-up pathway

Expert physiotherapy, with specialist care built in.

Begin with expert physiotherapy assessment and treatment from Annie or Tomek. When clinically appropriate, the same trusted team can connect your care to diagnostic imaging, orthopaedic consultant assessment and coordinated specialist treatment through the Elite pathway, without restarting your care journey.

Can you tell me what my policy covers?
